TrustNordisk has just closed deal on BEYOND with NFP, the German distributor of the MILLENIUM trilogy. NFP plans to release BEYOND March 2011.
Several other distributors have also already bought the rights for the film, amongst these are Sacher; Italy, Rialto Film; Australia, Lumiere; Benelux and New Cinema; Israel.
Pernilla August´s feature film BEYOND received standing ovations at this year´s Venice Film Festival, where it won the prestigious International Critics Week Award, also known as the Audience Award and the Christopher D. Smithers Foundation's Ambassador of Hope Award. BEYOND took home also just recently the Foreign Press Award at Filmfest Hamburg 2010. Critics such as The Hollywood Reporter and Screen have described the film being powerful and with faultless cast.
Pernilla August is one of Sweden´s most acclaimed actresses and with her debutorial take on the bestselling novel SVINALÄNGORNA by Susanna Alakoski, August tells the story of Leena, who is confronting her dark past. The drama stars Noomi Rapace, who showed great talent in the lead as Lisbeth Salander in the MILLENNIUM trilogy and is currently shooting the female lead in SHERLOCK HOLMES II.
