PRESS RELEASE: HOMESICK AND THE HERE AFTER SELECTED FOR TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

25-08-2015

TrustNordisk is proud to add two more officially selected titles to this year's Toronto International Film Festival.

HOMESICK by Anne Sewitsky has been selected for the Contemporary World Cinema section and THE HERE AFTER by Magnus von Horn will be screening in the Discovery section. Earlier this week Toronto announced that THE WAVE by Roar Uthaug has been selected for the Special Presentations programme, where it will celebrate its worldpremiere.

HOMESICK

Starring the remarkable up-and-coming Ine Wilmann and Swedish actor Simon J. Berger (CALL GIRL, 2012), HOMESICK tells the story of 27-year old Charlotte who is longing for strong family bonds and acceptance and therefore decides to reach out for her half-brother with whom she has never met.

An unusual family drama about seeking a family, and breaking every rule to be one.

HOMESICK is Anne Sewitsky's third feature film. Her debut feature HAPPY, HAPPY was selected as the Norwegian Official entry for the Academy Awards® for Best Foreign Language Film in 2011 and was sold to more than 50 countries through TrustNordisk.

The film is produced by Synnøve Hørsdal and Åshild Ramborg for Maipo Film AS.

Nordic distribution through Nordisk Film.
