TrustNordisk has sold the rights to Kristian Levring´s The Salvation to Universal Pictures International Entertainment in a number of international territories, including Latin America, Eastern Europe and South Africa. The pic, which screened out of competition at Cannes, follows a Danish settler (Mads Mikkelsen) in 19th century North America who sets out to avenge his family. The tale of vengeance, blood feud, lost love and greed stars also Eva Green, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Mikael Persbrandt, Eric Cantona and Jonathan Pryce. Anders Thomas Jensen wrote the screenplay. The deal was negotiated by Head of Sales Susan Wendt on behalf of TrustNordisk. Watch the trailer above.
