EXCLUSIVE: Buyers are beginning to pounce on the next Five Obstructions.

Details of the next Five Obstructions, the Martin Scorsese/Lars Von Trier collaboration announced last week, remain skimpy but even so, buyers are beginning to pounce. “These two directors collaborating was enough for us to take a certain risk and we think it will pay off in the long run,” said Marcin Piasecki, Managing-Director of Kino Swiat (which has now taken the film for Poland.)

Other buyers who have also snapped up the Scorsese/Von Trier collaboration at a very early stage include Independenta Film (Romania) and Aero Films (CzechRep. and
Slovak Rep).

These deals were announced by TrustNordisk on the eve of the screening of Von Trier´s Melancholia in competition in Cannes.
Other TrustNordisk projects have also been doing a roaring trade. Nikolaj Arce´s epic drama A Royal Affair, starring Mads Mikkelsen and Alicia Vikander has been picked
up by Golem (Spain), Metrodome (UK), MFA (Germany), Ascot Elite (Switzerland), Aero Films (Czech Rep.) and Best Film (Poland). A Royal Affair is produced by
Zentropa.

Petter Næss´ Comrade, which stars Rupert Grint amongst others, has been acquired by Metrodome (UK), Kino Swiat (Poland) and Vendetta (Australia).
