BEYOND by director Pernilla August has won the prestigious International Critics Week Award at this year´s Venice Film Festival. The film is about Leena, who is forced to face her dark childhood and deal with her past in order to move on. Playing Leena is Noomi Rapace, who played a powerful lead as Lisbeth Salander in the MILLENNIUM trilogy. In BEYOND Noomi is playing opposite her husband, Ola Rapace.
With her take on the bestselling novel SVINALÄNGORNA by Susanna Alakoski Pernilla August debuts as a feature film director, after several prizewinning performances as an actress.
