Even before pre-sale has begun, Tre Vänner, Nordisk Film and TrustNordisk can proudly announce that Benelux-distributor Lumiere has acquired the rights of Camilla Läckberg´s THE FJÄLLBACKA MURDERS.
Completed with the well-crafted stories and characters that Scandinavian quality crime writing is known for, THE FJÄLLBACKA MURDERS is an original fictional universe based on Swedish best-selling crime-writer Camilla Läckberg's compelling sense of mystery. Swedish production company Tre Vänner is working in close partnership with Camilla Läckberg to ensure that her successful storytelling is maintained through 10 TV-episodes and 2 features. Camilla Läckberg has so far published seven international bestsellers and her work has so far been translated into more than 33 countries.

Tre Vänner has a solid track record producing Scandinavian crime with proven successes like the award winning series OFFICERS OF THE LAW (2006), which was praised by the critics and a major success in Sweden, the original WALLANDER-series based on the bestseller-books by Henning Mankell and more recently the highly successful feature film EASY MONEY (2009), which is based on the book by Jens Lapidus and currently being remade in the U.S. by Warner Brothers with American actor Zac Efron in the lead. Tre Vänner means "Three Friends" in Swedish and was formed in 1995 by the three scriptwriters Tomas Tivemark, Michael Hjorth and Johan Kindblom.
The shooting of THE FJÄLLBACKA MURDERS starts August 15th 2011, and Academy-Award-nominee director Marcus Olsson will direct the first two TV-films.
Michael Hjorth from Tre Vänner is executive producer and Helen Ahlsson from Tre Vänner is producer. Nordisk Film is co-producer and holds the Scandinavian distribution-rights. Swedish Television (SVT) and Film I Väst are also onboard as co-producers. TrustNordisk handles international sale and starts presale of Camilla Läckberg´s THE FJÄLLBACKA MURDERS at the current Berlin International Film Festival 2011.
