The German thriller WHO AM I - NO SYSTEM IS

SAFEhas

been selected for Toronto International Film Festival.

 

 

 

WHO AM I - NO SYSTEM IS SAFEwill celebrate its

world premiere in Toronto in Contemporary World Cinema.

 

 

 

The film stars Tom Schilling (OH BOY, 2012;

SUITE FRANCAISE, 2014), Elyas M´Barek (THE PHYSICIAN, 2013 and one of Variety´s

top 10 Actors to Watch 2012), and Danish actress Trine Dyrholm (IN A BETTER

WORLD, 2010; SOMEONE YOU LOVE, 2014) among others and revolves around a group

of young hackers who in their attempt to gaining recognition in the underground

hacker community, suddenly find themselves in over their heads with the German

Secret Service and Europol at their heels.

 

 

 

Berlin: A young hacker becomes part of a

subversive hacker group which provokes with hilarious hacks fascinating a whole

generation before everything starts to get out of control. No system is safe.

 

 

 

WHO AM I - NO SYSTEM IS SAFE is director

Baran bo Odar´s second feature film. His debut feature THE SILENCE (2010) was

nominated for numerous awards and won the Director´s to Watch Award at Palm

Springs International Film Festival in 2011. Odar also made it onto Variety´s

10 Director´s to Watch list in 2011.

Berg and Max Wiedemann for Wiedemann & Berg Film (THE LIVES OF OTHERS

Academy Award® Winner for Best Foreign Language Film in 2007) with Justyna

Muesch as executive producer, co-produced by Seven Pictures and Deutsche

Columbia Pictures. Domestic distribution in German Speaking territories through

Sony Pictures Releasing with local release currently set for September 25th

2014.

 

 

 

Toronto International Film Festival takes

place from September 4th to September 14th.
