Based on a 3-minute promo presented to buyers on Saturday at the Marché du Film in Cannes TrustNordisk has closed a number of deals on Lukas Moodysson's upcoming feature WE ARE THE BEST!
UK distributor Metrodome has picked up the rights in Cannes with the deal negotiated between Giles Edwards, Head of Aquisitions and Jezz Vernon, Managing Director at Metrodome and Susan Wendt, Head of Sales at TrustNordisk.

Metrodome also distributed a number of Lukas Moodysson´s previous films including LILYA 4-EVER and TOGETHER.
TrustNordisk has also sold the WE ARE THE BEST! to Benelux (Wildbunch), Switzerland (Frenetic Films) and Former Yugoslavia (Continental Film) with a number of territories currently in negotiation.
Written and directed by Lukas Moodysson and based on a graphic novel by Coco Moodysson, WE ARE THE BEST! tells a humourous story about three outsiders in 80's Stockholm. Moodysson has previously stated that his intention with WE ARE THE BEST! is to make a film full of fun, hope and vitality.
WE ARE THE BEST! is produced by Lars Jönsson for Memfis Film, co-produced by Film I Väst, SVT and Zentropa in co-operation with Denmarks Radio and with support from the Swedish Film Institute, The Danish Film Institute and Nordisk Film and TV Fund.
Domestic release is set for October 2013.
