Thomas Vinterberg’s Cannes Competition title THE HUNT keeps tempting buyers from all over the world.
US distributor Magnolia Pictures is now on board as the US distributor on THE HUNT.

Previously announced deals include UK (Arrow Films), Benelux (WildBunch), France (Pretty Pictures), Italy (Bim Distribuzione), Russia (Russian Report), Poland (KinoSwiat), Romania (Independenta Film ´97), Czech Republic and Slovakia (Cinemart), Greece (Seven Films), Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay (Speed Weel), Israel (Lev Cinemas), Colombia (Babille Ciné), Former Yugoslavia and Albania (Cinemania Group).
Sunday evening actor Mads Mikkelsen received the award for Best Actor for his performance in the film while cinematographer Charlotte Bruus Christensen received the Vulcain Prize of the Technical Artist for her work on THE HUNT. Saturday THE HUNT also received the Ecumenical Jury Award.
Written by Thomas Vinterberg and Tobias Lindholm, THE HUNT, tells the story of a man who fights against a lie that threatens to destroy his life.
THE HUNT is produced by Sisse Graum Jørgensen and Morten Kaufmann for Zentropa in co-production with Film i Väst and Zentropa International Sweden with support from The Danish Film Institute, Danish Broadcasting Corporation, Eurimages, Nordic Film & TV Fund, The Swedish Film Institute, Swedish Television and the MEDIA programme of the European Union.
