The Berlinale package from TrustNordisk includes Stig Björkman´s new documentary on the legendary actress.
Swedish writer-director Stig Björkman´s Ingrid Bergman - In Her Own Words, a portrait of the Swedish actress through never-before-seen private footage, notes, letters, diaries and interviews with her children and former colleagues, will be introduced via a short promo at the European Film Market in Berlin, which opens tomorrow, 5 February.
Danish international sales agency TrustNordisk will present the promo of the documentary on Bergman, who won three Oscars out of seven nominations, and who in Hollywood´s golden age starred in such classics as Casablanca (1942), Gaslight (1944) and Notorious (1946). Bergman died in 1982.
Björkman has previously made several films about cinema - including ...But Film Is My Mistress (2010) and Tranceformer - A Portrait of Lars von Trier (1997) - and has published interview books with Ingmar Bergman and Woody Allen, among others. His portrayal of the young Swedish girl who became one of the most celebrated actresses in the US is produced by Stina Gardell for Mantaray Film.
TrustNordisk is also representing Danish directors Jannik Hastrup and Flemming Quist Møller´s fully animated Mini and the Mozzies, the follow-up to 2007´s A Tale of Two Mozzies, about Mini the mini-beetle and his adventures as he appears in a flea circus. The Marie Bro production for Dansk Tegnefilm is screening in the Generation KPlus programme.
Swiss director Baran Bo Odar´s German thriller, Who Am I - No System Is Safe, is on show in the LOLA at Berlinale sidebar, and titles programmed for the market include Danish director Michael Noer´s Göteborg opener, Key House Mirror; Anne Sewitsky´s Sundance entry, Homesick; Gunnar Vikene´s Here Is Harold; and Grethe Bøe-Waa´s Operation Arctic.
